Architizer A+ Award for Henderson-Hopkins School

The Henderson-Hopkins School has won the Jury Award at the Architizer A+ Awards, in the Architecture + Urban Transformation category. Associate Partner Vince Lee and Associate Kip Katich were in attendance at the awards gala to receive this honor. Henderson-Hopkins, jointly operated by the City of Baltimore and Johns Hopkins University, was the first new public school to be built in the past 30 years and is meant to be a catalyst for change in East Baltimore.

Chris Junkin at PennDesign

Tomorrow Associate Chris Junkin will be a juror for the final reviews of Annette Fierro's "Carnival" urban design studio at PennDesign. The studio explores "a connection between the Northern Liberties neighborhood in Philadelphia and Delaware River" and uses Carnival "as a device to understand the systemic role this intervention can make in the context of the city."

Rob to Participate in Colloquium at Rice School of Architecture

Rob is delighted to participate in a colloquium hosted by the Rice School of Architecture and Conti Street Partners tomorrow at 5:30 in Anderson Hall on the Rice University campus. The colloquium precedes a presentation of student work from Assistant Professor Jesus Vassallo and Visiting Studio Critic Daisy Ames' graduate urban studios that explore the "importance of innovative development in transitional urban sites. . . in the future of real estate development in Houston."

Rogers Partners Selected to Design Park in Buckhead Atlanta

The Buckhead Community Improvement District (BCID) announced a new partnership with Rogers Partners for the park over GA400 design and vision plan. The concept is envisioned to create up to nine acres of open space in the heart of Buckhead's commercial core. We are excited to be leading a design team that includes Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, Perez Planning and Design, ASD | SKY, and Renfro Design Group. WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, Guy Nordenson and Associates and Sherwood Design Engineers will work on the project engineering. HR&A, Coxe Curry, Ernst & Young and ETM Associates will oversee the aspects of financing and operations.

The New St. Pete Pier Schematic Design Approved

The St. Petersburg City Council overwhelmingly approved the schematic design for the New St. Pete Pier. Awarded in 2015 through a competition sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg, the design of the New St. Pete Pier represents a collaborative effort with ASD|SKY and Ken Smith Workshop.
